The Iberian Lynx is one of the most endangered wild cats in the world.Around 4000 wild lynx were alive around 60 years ago but the population has declined through hunting and loss of habitat.Only 25 years ago the Iberian lynx was almost extinct as only 94 individuals were living in two small regions in Andalusia in Spain in 2002.Their name comes from the Greek ‘’to shine’’ and may refer to the cats’ eyes.The first lynx to be born in captivity was Saliega, a female born in Spain in 2005.By 2012, the population had increased to 326 individuals and in 2021 there are over 1000 lynx living in Spain. It is hoped that this success story can be repeated for many of our worlds endangered animals that need our help.

El lince ibérico es uno de los felinos salvajes más amenazados del mundo. Alrededor de 4000 linces salvajes vivían hace unos 60 años, pero la población ha disminuido debido a la caza y la pérdida de hábitat. Lingomigo has a live stream to a pair of Tawny Owls that have nested in a plastic barrel in a tree for more than 10+ years. Each year in the Spring the owls return to the garden in Manchester and lay between 1 and 3 eggs.The female can be seen sitting on the eggs to keep them warm. After about 30 days the baby owls begin to hatch.The male owl can be seen each night bringing worms, rats, mice and frogs to feed the female and their babies.Owls are nocturnal as they are only active at night when it is dark.They can see and hear very well.Watch our Lingomigo owls as they raise their new family in 2023 !

Lingomigo tiene una transmisión en vivo de un par de cárabos que han anidado en un barril de plástico en un árbol durante más de 10 años.
